Promotional Ideas

Promotional materials are available to help make your worship concerts a successful event. There are eight effective forms of promotion:
  1. Church Bulletin--We can provide your church or organization with small, 51/2 x 81/2 bulletin insert in an editable PDF document (where you can enter your church's name and relevant contact and calendar information). These come 4/0 (full color on one side, nothing on the other), 2-up flyers (two inserts on a single 81/2 x 11 sheet). They are also useful as hand-outs for invitings friends and neighbors.
  2. Posters--Full color posters can be downloaded here or can be supplied from our office for your use. As with the flyers/bulletin inserts, you will need to complete the location and calendar information.
Also consider posting advertisements at local retail businesses, as department and grocery stores often welcome the advertisement; please ask permission to post on their boards. Permission is also granted to produce your own copies.
  3. Church Marquee--These are especially useful two to three weeks prior to the event. If your church does not currently own one, check the availabilty at local businesses.
  4. Newspaper--Most newspapers welcome press releases which can be found here. They are also available in our press kits.
  5. Radio--Most radio stations have some kind of community calendar. It is best to provide them with a press release about the concert at least two weeks in advance. If they require a CD, please don't hesitate contacting our office. We will mail one to you immediately.
  6. Devotionals--Our goal is not merely to entertain, but to uplift and spark a freshness in our audiences' relationship with God. We have week-long devotionals, to be released the week leading up to the concert, to prepare the hearts of the concert-goers for a fresh encounter with the Lord.
  7. Word of Mouth--This is probably the best form of advertising. Some mention of the concert six to eight weeks out is a good idea; beginning three to four weeks prior, the concert should be mentioned during services and in bulletins each week. Get your congregation involved in the promotion and invite friends and families.
  8. Prayer--No endeavor for the Kingdom is fully equipped without prayer. God hears it and answers it, and the Scriptures tell us that "The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working" (James 5:16).

Take every opportunity to encourage the members of your church to be in attendance and invite the community. Music is an effective outreach tool, as it always speaks to the heart.
