Michael Mays

Minister of Music

Michael came on staff at Sycamore in September 2004. Earlier ministry experience included serving as minister of music at Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas and Edgemont Park Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. In May of 2004, Michael graduated from Southwester Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas with a degree in Church Music.

Michael has also performed as a soloist at several churches and other professional engagements for over fifteen years, and is currently instructor of voice, choir, and opera at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.

Michael and Joy have been married since 1997, and live in Bolivar with their three children: Jacob (3.5 years) and Natalie (1.5 year), and Elena (2 months).
