Woman to Woman Mentoring

The Woman to Woman Mentoring Ministry is an opportunity for the women of Sycamore Baptist Church to experience the joy and blessings of encouraging each other. This is an exciting ministry that can help women to fulfill God's command in Titus 2, for the "older women" to "train the younger women...so that no one will malign the word of God."

If you are a woman who is mature in your faith, God wants you to invest your life's experience in the life of a younger, less mature believer. You have much to offer the new generation of disciples.

To you "younger women" (whether in chronological or spiritual age): have you ever found yourself in a situation you weren't sure how to handle? Or have you ever had questions about your faith and wished you had a godly woman to turn to for help? If this describes you, the Woman to Woman Mentoring ministry is for you, too.

The ministry thrives on one-on-one relationships between a mature Christian and a younger believer, for the mutual benefit of each woman and the good of the family, the church and the community.

The mentoring relationships last for six months, after which time you may choose to continue your current mentoring relationship, or move on to another relationship, either as a mentor or a mentee. Of course, you may choose not to participate again, but our prayer is that you would have received such an encouragement through your experiences, you would want to continue your involvement.

The program opens up for new women twice each year, with our Orientation Coffees. More information will be posted here and in various places at the church as these dates approach. We invite you to join us for this informative and informal time as we explore the opportunities God has placed before us.
